The Walrus Room came to the downtown Geneva scene last year. However, in that short time they have become a staple in Downtown. Their motto is “a supper club of sorts,” with a modern twist on Midwest dishes.
Midwestern dishes that equate comfort, fresh ingredients, and ingenuity. This week we have been focusing on Fair Trade, Direct Trade, Organic, etc and explaining just what those are. At The Walrus Room they work closely with local businesses to provide a delicious but not overbearing experience for their patrons.
If you are looking for a new place to try out for dinner, the Walrus Room is the place to be. While you are there, make sure to ask for a White Russian made with Freshground Roasting‘s Coffee Liquor found at Fox Valley Distillery.
The Walrus Room is open Tuesday- Thursday 4PM-10PM and Friday-Saturday 4PM-11PM.

Did you ever walk into a specialty coffee shop and look at all those menu options, and have no idea what you were gonna get? Well, we’re gonna clear up some of that stuff for you.
A Red Eye is a really simple drink. It’s brewed drip coffee. You can either take it from a pour over, or a batch brew system, top it off with a shot of espresso. Let’s be perfectly honest. If you’re drinking a Red Eye, there’s only one reason to do that, and that’s more caffeine.
The RedEye has been known by many creative names including the Depth Charge, the sludge cup, hammerhead, shot in the dark, oil spill and many more very creative but not very nice sounding names.
